## Environmental record

### Bowdens development consent overturned; project determination remains pending [svl_bowdens_consent_overturned]

August 2024 through 9 October 2026 · documented · high materiality

The NSW Court of Appeal set aside the 2023 Bowdens Silver development consent in August 2024 after finding the assessment had failed to consider an environmental impact of the project’s required powerline. The IPC’s case page states the application remained pending, with a new panel to continue the hearing and determine it; case updates and party responses were still appearing on 9 October 2026. This is a project approval setback and not a personal misconduct finding.

**Attribution:** Role overlaps event; causation unproven. Jonathan Battershill was Managing Director during the project approval and reversal period. The reviewed sources establish tenure overlap and project oversight only; they do not establish that he personally caused the legal error.

**Relevance:** Material to project delivery and environmental approval risk in the Managing Director’s tenure; the project’s consent outcome was unresolved at cutoff.

## Suitability for the current role

### Public evidence of fit for Managing Director [svl_jonathan_battershill_role_fit]

Current role and prior career as stated by issuer · analyst inference · low materiality

The issuer biography reports: Geology engineering graduate (Hons, Camborne School of Mines, 1995); mining and business-development experience at WMC and mining-equity research roles at Hartleys, Citi and UBS. Role-fit inference: this experience is relevant to the current Managing Director responsibilities, but issuer biographies are self-reported and do not independently establish personal delivery outcomes.

**Attribution:** Responsibility not applicable. This is an analyst role-fit judgment based on the cited role and issuer-reported experience; it does not assign personal responsibility for company outcomes.

**Relevance:** Relevant to the current Managing Director role, with evidence quality constrained by the source scope.

## Evidence gaps
