Growth portfolio progress and remaining delivery

FY2026 · issuer reported · high materiality

Attribution: Role overlaps event; causation unproven. This is a company-level event and leadership role overlap, not a finding that this executive committed the alleged conduct.

Relevance: Tests delivery of growth mandate against actual, rather than targeted, outcomes.

Arizona and PEM50 hydrogen projects discontinued

FY2025 and July 2025 · issuer reported · high materiality

Fortescue announced on 24 July 2025 that its Arizona Hydrogen and Gladstone PEM50 projects would not proceed, and initially estimated a US$150 million pre-tax write-down across related spending and equipment. Its FY25 annual report recorded US$158 million in one-off carrying-value adjustments across several Energy assets, including these projects. Pichot became Growth and Energy CEO on 1 July 2025; prior project decisions and much of the expenditure preceded that appointment.

Attribution: Role overlaps event; causation unproven. He held the role when the discontinuation was announced; the sources do not establish personal responsibility for the earlier project approvals or expenditures.

Relevance: Material delivery and capital-allocation context for the growth portfolio.
