Contributions and company outcomes
Leadership tenure overlapped construction and completion of first field-scale ISR trial
Jul 2025–Jul 2026 · issuer reported · medium materiality
As CEO from 1 July 2025, Marsland-Smith led the company through approvals, FRT construction, commissioning and completion. The FY2026 report says Ahrens achieved practical completion in line with schedule on 13 December 2025 and the trial completed its technical objectives in July 2026; the operation demonstrated uranium recovery but was not commercial production. The report attributes company leadership to the CEO but does not establish her individual technical contribution.
Attribution: Role overlaps event; causation unproven. CEO responsibility overlapped the reported project milestones; specific individual decisions and contribution are not documented.
Relevance: Relevant evidence of project advancement at the most advanced asset; commercial feasibility, mining lease and financing remain outstanding.

Environmental record
Regulatory role overlapped a Heathgate monitoring-well exceedance
2014 and 2018 · documented · medium materiality
Heathgate’s 2014 compliance report named Marsland-Smith regulatory and compliance manager for Beverley and Beverley North and listed her as report reviewer. The South Australian regulator reports that on 31 December 2014 a Pepegoona compliance monitoring well exceeded the excursion control limit for pH, sulfate and uranium after mining ceased. The company reported no compromise to aquifer environmental values and adjusted nearby wellfield water balances using hydrogeological modelling. Separately, the regulator describes a June 2018 uranium-bearing solution spill; the operator reported negligible third-party soil-sample impacts and revised procedures. Marsland-Smith’s exact role at the 2018 incident has not been established.
Attribution: Role overlaps event; causation unproven. The 2014 compliance role and the monitoring-well event overlapped. The sources do not establish that she caused the exceedance or was individually responsible for either incident.
Relevance: Context for evaluating environmental oversight experience at a prior uranium operation; company statements on impact are attributed and are not an independent causal finding.

Suitability for the current role
Experience aligns with uranium ISR development; delivery still pre-commercial
Current role at cutoff · analyst inference · medium materiality
Analyst inference: long Heathgate uranium ISR operations tenure and role-overlapping FRT management support relevant fit. Samphire remains pre-commercial; mining lease and feasibility work continue, so production and financing delivery are not established.
Attribution: Responsibility not applicable. No individual causation beyond her executive role and issuer attribution is asserted.
Relevance: Role-relevant experience is demonstrated, with substantial development and approval execution ahead.
