Liquidity
Financial position
The reviewed 30 June statement reports US$1.892m cash and a separate US$1.189m refundable Saudi licence security deposit classified as a non-current asset, not spendable cash. A 16 September presentation labels about A$12m cash at 31 August, but does not reconcile its timing with the 2 September placement quotation; neither figure establishes current post-placement spendable liquidity.
Capital structure
Ownership and dilution

- Fully diluted
- 659.3M
September 2 Appendix 2A reports 621,358,352 quoted 1:1 CDIs plus 26,648,666 performance shares and 11,304,700 outstanding options. Fully diluted count treats every unquoted security as one share, conservative; conditional 5.5m director tranche excluded. The 16 September presentation gives approximately 675m fully diluted shares, versus 659.31m calculated from the exact 2 September Appendix 2A schedule; the discrepancy is unresolved, and the exact issued-instrument schedule is selected.

Management background checks
Partial, low-confidence review of three disclosed executives. Opened issuer filings establish current roles, selected technical and corporate outcomes, and a material discrepancy in the described Jabal Sayid transaction sequence. Person-specific searches and independent record checks remain incomplete.
Decision-relevant facts
Material summary
Adam Oehlman
Chief Executive Officer
African Gold resource growth and completed acquisition
African Gold reported a 119% increase in the Blaffo Guetto inferred resource to 989,000 ounces at a 0.8 g/t cutoff in June 2025 while Oehlman was CEO. Montage confirmed its acquisition of African Gold completed on 29 April 2026. The resource estimate is not production and the transaction was a company and shareholder outcome; his individual contribution is not independently quantified.
Role overlaps event; causation unproven · His CEO role overlaps the resource update; the sources do not attribute the outcome or deal exclusively to him.
Saudi exploration program advanced; production not established
The 21 October 2026 quarterly says phase 1 at As Safra completed approximately 5,400 metres in 28 holes, phase 2 started in September and the first phase-2 assays were expected in November. It also says there were no substantive mining production or development activities in the quarter; Nevada assets were under strategic review.
Role overlaps event; causation unproven · Oehlman was CEO during the stated activity; specific personal contribution has not been established.
Evidence gaps · 3
- Individual career dates and former-employer outcomes remain incomplete; broad web searches do not constitute comprehensive adverse, court, regulator, safety, environmental or governance checks.
- Degree and professional-membership assertions are issuer-reported and have not been independently verified with the relevant institutions.
- The October 2026 search was limited to the precise terms recorded; all retrieved results were not exhaustively reviewed.
Brett Butlin
Executive Director / Chief Geologist
Documented Jabal Sayid exploration reporting
A 3 June 2009 Citadel announcement names Butlin as exploration manager and competent person for exploration results at Jabal Sayid. Sierra Nevada later described him as Citadel chief geologist involved in delineation. Equinox’s filed annual information form says it acquired Citadel in January 2011; Sierra Nevada’s 2024 quarterly instead describes a sale to Barrick in 2010. Barrick announced its proposed Equinox acquisition in April 2011. The precise transaction description in the later Sierra Nevada report is inconsistent with the Equinox chronology; this does not undermine the cited 2009 reporting role.
Individual involvement documented · The 2009 source directly names him as the person compiling and consenting to the results; it does not establish sole discovery or responsibility for the later transaction.
Current technical reporting responsibilities
The October 2026 quarterly names Butlin as full-time chief geologist and executive director, and as the competent person for reported exploration results. The phase-2 program was ongoing; an economic discovery or mine has not yet been established.
Responsibility not applicable · His reporting role is issuer-documented; the role-fit assessment is an inference, not evidence of future discovery.
Evidence gaps · 4
- Individual career dates and former-employer outcomes remain incomplete; broad web searches do not constitute comprehensive adverse, court, regulator, safety, environmental or governance checks.
- Degree and professional-membership assertions are issuer-reported and have not been independently verified with the relevant institutions.
- The October 2026 search was limited to the precise terms recorded; all retrieved results were not exhaustively reviewed.
- The 2024 company statement says Jabal Sayid was sold to Barrick in 2010, while the Equinox filing and Barrick’s 2011 offer announcement describe a different acquisition sequence; the source discrepancy is explicitly retained.
Sophia Qing Huang
Company Secretary
Company-secretarial appointments confirmed
Sierra Nevada announced Huang’s appointment on 18 June 2025 and states she handles ASX listing-rule communications. She signed its 30 October 2026 meeting-results release. Ausgold separately announced her co-secretary appointment in October 2025; her role there at the research cutoff was not established from an opened dated source.
Individual involvement documented · The filings establish specified appointments and signature only; they do not establish her full duties or performance.
